Aerservice - Iris dampers - started out in 1980, using its experience in the field of air treatment systems with civil and industrial applications.
Although it is a relatively young company, it has become a noted name in an industry that has acquired a strong identity and that was rapidly expanding during the very period of the company's establishment.
In just a few years, Aerservice has become a leading player in Italy and in some EU countries through an extensive distribution and sales network, a high-calibre range of technical products, and a modern and well-organised service with logistics facilities in various locations in Italy and other countries.
Aerservice's technical backgrouind, its experience in working with experts in the field of air treatment systems with civil and industrial applications, have generated a broad spectrum of components and equipment for a wide variety of needs and solutions.
In order to better serve its market, Aerservice has created two Divisions: COMPONENTS and EQUIPMENTS. These are company departments with the same logo, but with separated sales programmes.
Both divisions have a team of technical and commercial experts who can help the customer to examine and select the most suitable product.
FD300/400 - REI180 Fire damper with silicate vane
Specifications:
The FD300 fire damper represents the latest solution for problems of compartmentation of air diffusion ducts and in particular, thanks to the special vane in silicate, guarantees the following specifications:
- REI180: maximum resistance to fire, in conformity with the ministerial circular no. 91 of 14/09/1961 and certified by the “test report” CSI1003RF issued by the CSI on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior
- completely plasterboard free: to obtain a lightweight vane, optimal hygiene and guaranteed safety over time
- reduced pressure drops: obtained by using a vane of only 39 mm and special end stops in steel, replacing the normal versions in plasterboard.
Construction:
- External ducting in galvanised steel, thickness 1.5 mm, welding-free, 40 mm flange and slotted holes at ends.
- Subdivision vane with a thickness of only 39 mm, on special multi-layer calcium silicate with no plasterboard or any joints on the internal layers. Sturdy brackets in galvanised steel support the vane and enable it to rotate on its central horizontal axis within 2 special self-lubricated brass bushings.
- Heat-expanding perimeter seal for perfect sealing in the event of a fire, fitted on the perimeter of the vane. Two single mechanical end stops in steel inside the duct ensure the correct position of the vane after closure and the reduced dimensions of the stops reduce pressure drops and noise levels.
- Thermal disconnect switch with fuse pre-set at 72°C for fire detection.
- Mechanical release device (standard model) or electric (model with electromagnet or servomotor)
- Protection guards of mechanisms and accessories
- Motorised reset mechanism, where required (model with servomotor)
- Single or double limitswitch to indicate damper position, where required
Fixture:
The fire damper is fixed to the wall so that the vane, once closed, is positioned inside the thickness of the wall. Note that the protection guard must not be removed as it serves to preserve the mechanisms for release from the mortar and/or other building material used.
Models:
FD300: standard model with manual reset lever, thermal disconnect switch set at 72°C, spare fuse, box depth of 300 mm FD400: model as above but with a depth of 400 mm
